Airport pet transport at Toronto Pearson
Pet air transport starts and ends at the airline's cargo office, not the passenger terminal. We drive your pet to Pearson cargo and check them in, collect pets that land at Pearson, and help when you are flying with your pet.
How pet cargo works at Pearson
When a pet flies on its own, it travels as airline cargo. That means a different building, a different counter and different paperwork from a passenger flight. You drop the pet off at the airline's cargo office a few hours before departure, the airline loads the crate onto the plane, and someone collects it from the cargo office at the other end.
Only two airlines ship pets as cargo from Toronto: Air Canada Cargo and WestJet Cargo. Both cargo offices are in Mississauga, on Britannia Road East, a short drive from the passenger terminals. Both are open 24 hours a day.
With us, you do not have to work out which cargo door to use or wait at the counter. We bring the crate, the paperwork and your pet, and we send you a message once your pet is checked in.

Cargo drop-off with us

Pickup at home
We collect your pet in the crate at the time we agreed, timed for the airline's drop-off window.

We hand over the paperwork, the airline checks the crate and weighs it, and we pay any fees due at the counter.

We stay until your pet is accepted, up to 60 minutes, and send you a message with the air waybill number.

We follow the flight and tell you and the person collecting your pet when it has landed.

The price depends on the driving distance between your home and the airport, the time of day, and how many pets are travelling. Extra pets from the same home, and early, late or weekend pickups, add a little to the ride.
To get your price, fill in the form. For most addresses in Toronto and nearby cities you see your price on screen right after you enter your contact details, and we email you a copy. For the rest we send it within 24 hours.
This is how the ride is priced. The flight itself is part of a full pet relocation, or you can book cargo with the airline yourself and use us only for the drive.
Flying with your pet?
Help when you fly with your pet
Some people fly on the same plane as their pet, with the pet in the cabin or in the hold. Moving day is busy, and getting a dog in a large crate to the terminal by taxi is hard. We can take that part off your hands.
- We pick up your pet at home, in their crate or carrier.
- You travel to the airport separately. Pets only in our vehicles.
- We meet you at the terminal and help you with the crate at check-in.
- You book your pet with the airline and pay the airline's pet fee yourself.
Help at the airport is priced as the ride plus 60 minutes at the terminal. We sell airline crates, so we can add one to your quote if you need it, and we can drive your pet to your vet for a health certificate before the trip.
Which airlines take pets on your flight? Air Canada and WestJet do, with their own rules for the cabin and the hold. Porter and Flair take small pets in the cabin only. Air Transat takes pets in the cabin or the hold only when you are on the same flight. See our airline guides.
